The FAME Competitive Team is designed for dedicated performers who are ready to challenge themselves through advanced training, exceptional performance opportunities and a supportive team culture. Students grow as artists, teammates and leaders while representing FAME on stages across Ontario.
The Season
A Year of Growth
The FAME Competitive Team is a season-long commitment designed to help students grow as performers, teammates and individuals. The season runs from September through June, with competition season taking place from late March through May.
Competitive Team members are required to attend three mandatory training days each week, in addition to their weekly Musical Theatre class. This comprehensive schedule allows students to build strong technical foundations, rehearse consistently and perform with confidence throughout the season.
Throughout the year, students:

Attend at least three mandatory Competitive Team training days each week, plus their weekly Musical Theatre class

Perform in our professionally produced year-end musical

Compete at four competitions, including Show Choir Canada

Perform in solo, duet, small group, large group and production routines (at the directors discretion)

Unlike many competitive programs, FAME proudly competes in the Song & Dance category using professional headset microphones. This unique experience prepares students for the demands of live musical theatre performance and helps develop true triple-threat performers.

Students rehearse and perform in polished, production-quality routines while learning professionalism, stage etiquette and ensemble collaboration.
