Theresa Di Meglio

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Theresa Di Meglio is the artistic director and choreographer of FAME School Of Performing Arts, a musical theater school she founded in 2000. For the past 22 years she has taught all ages and levels of dance and musical theater. As a dance and performance educator she believes in the artistic potential of every student. In the studio Theresa emphasizes creative expression as well as challenging her students to perfect their technique during classes and rehearsals. She has managed the creative vision of the company, bringing full length musicals to the stage where her triple threat students have the opportunity to dance, sing and act in a full length musical.

Theresa received a BFA honours degree in Dance from York University. Her early dance training was through the Russian society of ballet. Under the artistic direction of Gilly Chaplin, she trained in the professional program at The Woodbridge School of Dance, where she completed her ballet exams. In addition to ballet, Theresa has trained extensively in Musical Theatre, jazz, modern, and contemporary dance. Theresa is also a qualified dance adjudicator with the Professional Adjudicators Alliance.

In 2017 Theresa moved to the United Arab Emirates and in 2018 FAME launched specialized musical theater and show choir intensives on site for private schools in Dubai. During this time Theresa was also the lead choreographer for the Desert Dance competitive team at Kent College.

Theresa’s work on set includes dance choreography for a Barbie commercial, a Much Music Video Dance Party commercial, choreography for YTV station ID’s and The Blue Smarties promotions for the Much Music Video Awards. Theresa was the choreographer for Royal Wood’s music video “Good To Be Young” where her students had the opportunity to be featured.

Sarah De Donato

Operations Director + Production Designer

Sarah is a multidisciplinary creative director with a passion for storytelling through design, performance and live production. At FAME, she oversees business operations while leading the creative vision behind the school’s productions, marketing and brand experience. From lighting and sound design to projection art, scenic design and digital media, Sarah ensures every production feels immersive, professional and unforgettable.

As the founder of DAME Creative Studio, Sarah has worked with clients across film, television, theatre and entertainment, bringing cinematic thinking and thoughtful design to every project. At FAME, that same creative philosophy shapes everything from the website families explore to the moment the curtain rises on opening night.

Her mission is simple: create a place where every student feels inspired to grow, perform and believe in what’s possible.

Claudia Chiodo

Vocal Coach

Claudia Chiodo’s journey as a performer began at a young age right here at FAME School of the Performing Arts. Claudia has been a dedicated member of the FAME community since the age of nine, performing in numerous productions including Mamma Mia!, Matilda, In the Heights, Wicked, The Sound of Music, and Finding Neverland, among many others.

Claudia has extensive training in vocal performance, having completed all levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music, along with foundational theory studies. She is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Performance Acting program, where she trained in voice, movement, stage combat, intimacy direction, film acting, buffoon and clown work, as well as contemporary, Shakespearean, and poetic theatre.

Her training also includes time at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and St. Elizabeth Catholic High School’s Regional Arts Drama Program. Claudia has performed twice at Show Choir Canada with FAME, showcasing her talent and versatility.

As a vocal and acting instructor, Claudia brings her passion for arts education into every class. Her approach is nurturing, energetic, and rooted in her deep belief in the transformative power of the performing arts. She is committed to inspiring the next generation of artists and helping students find their voice, both on and off the stage.

Isabella Couto

Vocal Coach

Isabella Couto is a trained musical theatre performer and educator who graduated with Honours from the Sheridan College Honours Bachelor of Musical Theatre Performance program. Primarily a vocalist, Isabella has studied music for over 10 years and remains committed to continued growth and learning in her craft.

In addition to teaching, Isabella works as a vocalist, songwriter, and musical theatre performer. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with many respected Canadian artists, directors and creative teams. Her performance credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Heathers, Something Rotten!, and several new Canadian musical productions. While she enjoys performing, her greatest passion is teaching and mentoring young artists as they begin their journeys in music and musical theatre.

Isabella believes that musical theatre is one of the most rewarding and exciting artistic disciplines. Her teaching philosophy is centered on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and explore their creativity. She understands that every student's musical journey is unique and believes it is important to foster a healthy relationship with music so that practice becomes a source of joy rather than obligation. Isabella is dedicated to helping her students build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a lifelong love of learning and performing.

Liana Brancato

Dance Teacher

Liana began dancing at the age of three and has built an accomplished career in the performing arts. She is trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pointe and Contemporary, studying at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, the London School of Ballet, Taylor Dance Studios and Performing Dance Arts.

She has trained with renowned choreographers across Canada and the United States, including intensive studies with Paula Morgan in Los Angeles, and has completed both A.D.A.P.T. and R.A.D. Ballet examinations.

Liana’s performance credits include leading roles as Sandy in Grease and Roxie in Chicago at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, as well as performances in Sweet Charity, The Nutcracker, Club Med Bahamas and high-profile corporate events.

She also traveled internationally as a featured dancer with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, performing in Saturday Night Fever aboard Liberty of the Seas. During this time, she completed aerial certification through C5 Create With No Limits and most recently served as an assistant gymnastics coach with Northern Movement.

Today, Liana shares her passion by teaching at leading dance studios across the Greater Toronto Area, inspiring students through her professional experience, technical expertise and love of performance.

Yunior Rojas

Yunior Rojas is a Cuban stunt coordinator, performer and movement specialist whose career spans international film, television and live performance. Based in Toronto, he has built a reputation for combining technical precision, athleticism and creative storytelling to deliver dynamic action sequences that elevate every production.

Throughout his career, Yunior has worked alongside world-class directors, stunt teams and performers on major international productions. His credits include Juan of the Dead (2011), the Bollywood blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger (2012), and the global box office phenomenon The Fate of the Furious (2017). His expertise in stunt coordination, fight choreography and physical performance has made him a valued collaborator on productions requiring both creativity and the highest standards of safety and execution.

With a background rooted in discipline and movement, Yunior brings a unique perspective to performing arts education. His teaching emphasizes body awareness, confidence, stage presence and the physical storytelling skills that help performers connect with an audience. Students benefit from his real-world industry experience while developing strength, coordination and the confidence to perform with authenticity.

Passionate about mentoring the next generation of performers, Yunior is committed to creating a supportive environment where students are encouraged to challenge themselves, discover their potential and grow both on and off the stage.
