Registration & Enrollment
How do I register?
Registration can be completed online through our website. Once your registration is submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to get started.
Can my child try a class before registering?
Yes! We offer free trial classes in many of our programs, subject to availability.
Can students join after the season begins?
Whenever possible, yes. Placement depends on the program, class availability and the time of year.
What ages do you accept?
We offer programs for children as young as 3 years old through teens and young adults, depending on the program.
Programs
What programs does FAME offer?
We offer Musical Theatre, Dance, Vocal Technique, Competitive Team, Summer Camps, Birthday Parties, Private Instruction and specialty workshops.
Does my child need previous experience?
Not at all. Many of our programs welcome beginners, while others are designed for more experienced performers.
How do I know which program is right for my child?
Our team is happy to help you choose the program that best fits your child’s age, experience and goals.
Musical Theatre
What happens in a Musical Theatre class?
Students receive training in acting, singing and dance while working collaboratively toward exciting performances throughout the season.
Do students perform on stage?
Yes! Musical Theatre students participate in our professionally produced year-end performance.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothing they can move in and the appropriate dance shoes for their class.
Competitive Team
How do students join the Competitive Team?
The Competitive Team is a by-audition program. Interested students can complete an application through our website.
How many competitions does the team attend?
Our Competitive Team attends four competitions each season, including Show Choir Canada.
What makes FAME’s Competitive Team different?
Our performers receive triple-threat training in acting, singing and dance and compete in Song & Dance using live microphones—providing an authentic musical theatre performance experience.
How often does the Competitive Team train?
Competitive Team members attend three mandatory training days each week in addition to their weekly Musical Theatre class.
Dance & Vocal
Do I need dance experience to join Hip Hop or Tap?
No. We offer classes for a variety of ages and experience levels.
What is Vocal Technique?
Vocal Technique focuses on healthy singing habits, breath control, pitch, range and performance confidence.
Are private lessons available?
Yes. We offer private coaching in singing, acting, dance, audition preparation and custom choreography.
Summer Camps
Do campers need performing arts experience?
No. Our camps welcome beginners and experienced performers alike.
What should campers bring?
A packed lunch, snacks, a water bottle and comfortable clothing they can move in.
Is there a performance at the end of camp?
Yes! Each camp concludes with an in-studio showcase for family and friends.
Birthday Parties
When are birthday parties available?
Birthday parties are hosted exclusively on Sundays.
What ages are birthday parties for?
Our parties are designed for children ages 5 and up.
Do children need dance experience?
Not at all! Our parties are fun, inclusive and suitable for all experience levels.
Can we choose our own theme?
Absolutely! We offer several popular themes and are happy to customize the experience.
Tuition & Payments
How is tuition paid?
Most season programs are divided into three automatic term payments.
Specific payment schedules can be found on each program page.
Are registration fees refundable?
Registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Are costumes included in tuition?
No. Costume fees are billed separately and communicated well in advance.
Performances
Does every student perform?
Most of our programs include performance opportunities. Details can be found on each individual program page.
Where are performances held?
Our annual productions are presented in a professional theatre, giving students the opportunity to perform on a real stage.
Parents
Can parents watch classes?
To help students build independence and stay focused, parents are generally asked to wait outside the studio during class. Special viewing opportunities are offered throughout the season.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Student absences are not eligible for make-up classes. If FAME cancels a class due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will schedule a make-up class whenever possible and communicate the details with all affected families.
How do you communicate with families?
Important updates, schedules and announcements are shared by email throughout the season.
